7-9 pm in the Church
In 1999, a generous family at St. Anastasia donated a beautiful 75-year-old European grand piano in memory of their daughter, Kelly, who died at age 24. That same piano is now over 100 years old, and while still in use in the church, it has started showing it’s age, and maintenance costs have been rising.
On December 23, 2024 (prior to our Christmas Eve Masses), the piano experienced an injury that severely affected its playability. With the help of music ministry volunteers, we were able to rig a temporary solution to make the piano playable for Christmas Masses. While we hope this solution will hold us over for a short period of time, the fact that this piano that has served us so well, needs to be repaired or replaced.
Whether we replace or repair and restore, this will be a major expense and we need your help to raise the funds, so that what we decide would allow us to have a piano to last for the next 30-50 years.
As a kick-off, we cordially invite you to an evening of contemporary Christian music with our 5 pm Sunday Worship Band in the church. The band will lead us in song, and our music minister, Josh Ross will emcee the event.
This is a free concert, however, we have a suggested donation of $20/person or $50/family. You may donate on our secure website or the evening of the concert. Please make sure any checks have ‘Piano’ in the memo.
If you would like to make a substantial donation, we invite you to email Josh Ross for any additional information you might need.
We are looking forward to an evening with you of praise & worship music by our 5 pm Sunday Worship Band, while raising money for the piano needs!
